My dear sister-in-law was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent major surgery last week. She is now doing very well, and her spirits are high.
When we learned of her illness, a family member hooked us all up with Lotsa Helping Hands. Through the web site, we were able to create an online community, which made it easier for our flesh-and-blood community to organize what each of us would be doing to help the person we all wanted to help.
For example, I was able to sign up online to deliver a meal to my sister-in-law’s family. We receive updates on her condition via email. If her ride to the doctor falls through, the site facilitator (another sister-in-law, in our case) can email an emergency request for help. It’s a great system.
I hope you never need to use it, but, if you do, I highly recommend Lotsa Helping Hands.
Stumble Upon It!
